We had the pleasure to attend the interim presentation of the study project LADY LIKE in the Industrial Design Lab.
Fifteen students from the fields of industrial design, game design and scientific visualization who have just started their second semester take their first steps in 3D modelling – a jump in at the deep end.
At the beginning, there was an intensive examination of the needs and preferences of the rider: a female protagonist from popular culture. The students chose an illustrious gathering: From the Na'vi Neytiri from “Avatar” to scientist Marie Curie, from cartoon character Princess Bubblegum to hip-hop star Missy Elliot. The bouquet of design orientations is correspondingly colorful and covers a wide range of styles, from skeletal-gothic to a manga-esque futurism.
Currently, the designs are created and edited in various CAD applications so that they can finally be exhibited as high-resolution 3D prints at the special show by the BLC. We are looking forward to it!
