Winner "CRAFT RELOADED"

Ralf Holleis wins the 11th BLC 2019 with his ultralight trackbike from carbon und 3D-printed titanium.

In Ralf’s "VORWAERTZ VRZ 2", tradition and novelty meet: algorithmic optimization and baroque ornamentation; 3D print and elaborate finishing by hand.
The jury is convinced: the VRZ 2 is not only light, beautiful and fascinating; it is also an impulse in the current process of developing new approaches to framebuilding. And thus the perfect Gold awardee for “CRAFT RELOADED”.

The Awardees of the 10th Bike Lovers Contest 2018 have been selected.

The Gold Trophy goes to Stefan Süess with his "Audrey Reloaded". Built for his wife, it follows the icon of the classical women's bicycle, but lifted to a new level with subtle details. Not spectacular but simply beautiful. As an amateur, he dared to master the most prestigious discipline in frame building: fillet brazing. And it paid off, if you ever saw the bike’s owner being all smiles.

Just expensive components won’t get one very far though. The Awards will go to those showpieces where the interpretation of„classy“ is borne by creativity and passion.

Invited are frame builders and tinkerers from all over Europe.
