The bike industry establishes the standards for today‘s top bicycle frames by incorporating hydroforming or sophisticated carbon lay-ups; features from portability to suspension are integrated directly into the design. Is romantic tradition the only chance for builders of individual custom bikes to make a stand against this seeming superiority of the industry?

Creatives, developers, frame builders and tinkerers from Germany and Switzerland attempt the next level of contemporary bicycle craftsmanship: with bikes of all kind that deserve the label “CRAFT RELOADED”.

Building individual customs by progressive methods; manufacturing what the industry doesn’t dare or seize freshly on traditional techniques – the contest features bikes of various approaches: laser-cut Inox-tubes combined with carbon, 3D-printed lugs with mesh structure, E-powered wood or even raw steel with unadorned brazing.

The Contestants of the Bike Lovers Contest show the opportunities of individual planning and the potential of crafting that exceeds pragmatically joined metal tubes and off-the-shelf parts. It’s the endeavour of “CRAFT RELOADED”.
